When and how did you start photography?
- I started my photography last three years ago when I arrived in Singapore. Like most people here in the forum, being an Expat (OFW in Filipino terms) out of boredom and need an outlet for my creativity.

I started taking photos when I was 12 and my Dad lend me his Minolta film slr (forgot the model). My shots back then are a bit blurry and out focus. It didn’t spark much interest in taking photos until I arrived in Singapore in 2005.
I purchased my first digital camera the Canon S3IS, which was a great cam. It really sparked the creativity in me taking images of anything. Finally one of my friends loaned me his Nikon D70 with a 18-70mm lens. Really love the speed and feel of a SLR, right then I have decided to get my own DSLR.
I bought a D40 then upgraded to a D80 and my latest cam body is D300. Thru the span of 3 years I manage to acquire a decent array of lenses. Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, Nikon 17-55mm f2.8, Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 , Nikon 85mm f1.8 and Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro.
Basic body and lens setup (name just one body and one lens that you always use)
D300 and most of the time I use my 11-16mm. But for studio work I use my 17-55mm and for Sniper/Paparazzi mode I use 80-200mm or my 85mm f1.8
Basic body and lens setup (name just one body and one lens that you always use)
- I usually go with my Nikon D300 paired with my nikon 16-85mm lens… good range!
Would you consider turning pro?
- Yes, why not? heheheh

Approximately, how many gb of photos do you have to date?
- 450GB and growing.
Ever experienced an embarrassing moment related to photography?
- I was walking in a mall and found a crowd. I found out there was a celebrity passing thru the mall. I was so excited and quickly I set my cam to highspeed shooting mode, raised my hand above the crowd (photojournalist style) and fired away. Later I got 120 frames of pure black, and then I realized that I forgot to take the lens cap off. Toink!!
Where can we see your portfolio?
- I have my flickr collection here and my model mayham page.
How did you found out PinoyCSers?
- Rowena Aro mentioned it to me when we meet briefly after a church service. Later that night I googgled it, found the site and joined. Then went to EB’s and photoshoots the rest was history. I really enjoyed meeting up with the group
Give readers one tip to capture great photos.
