When and how did you start photography?

  • I started my photography when my younger brother gave me his Sony DSC70 digital camera (P&S).

Tell us more about your photography history

  • I started to shoot using film cameras since my college days, and I didnt know about photography yet (those technical terms such as exposure, composition etc…). Kasi my intention of shooting is just to capture the moment especially kung may occasion. Basta lumabas sa print ung image na kinunan ko I was already happy with that.

When I tried to take photo of my kids (using a P&S camera that my younger gave me), I can’t shoot fast enough to capture their movements (kids lah very actively leh! tongue.gif). Then I saw my friends DSLR cameras and told me that I need to use that if I want to capture fast. Then I read a few infos about photography over the internet and borrowed books from the library. Till I bought my first DSLR camera last quarter last year. I was so excited then to shoot every minute and parang naramdaman ko agad ung passion about photography. Almost everyday I read a lot of how to’s, do’s & dont’s in photography (and still reading till now). And am always amazed at other people’s talent in capturing nice photos.

Basic body and lens setup (name just one body and one lens that you always use)

  • My first Canon 400D + 17-85mm kit lens.

Would you consider turning pro?

  • Still need a lot of knowledge and practice before I can reach that stage. hehehe. And siguro tapang ng loob minsan.

Favorite subjects to capture:

  • Portraits, Landscape and Macro

Favorite photo captured to date:

  • My wife, Babes. I like the simplicity of her on this photo.

My Son, EJ. He’s always dreamin one day he will do catwalk on stage (I really hope so! hehehe)

Name members whose photographs amaze you:

And all members here who share their ideas, pointers to other members especially beginners like me in taking a good photos.

Do you have a visual on a dream image you want to capture?

  • Yes, just like the photos of an Afghan girl featured in NatGeo (hehehe taas ng ambisyon no.)

Name one non-electric camera gear that you cannot live without.

  • A Face towel, sa sobra kasing init dito lalo na kung outdoor shoot.

Approximately, how many gb of photos do you have to date?

  • Around 200GB+/- pa lang (including na ung mga patapon shots. hehehe)

Ever experienced an embarrassing moment related to photography?

  • Uh oh! When I bring my family in Toa Payoh park one sunday late afternoon to test my DSLR (which was only few days old that time), I mounted it on my FREE camera tripod (included on the package) and the time am going to press the wireless shutter button, it drops down (huhuhu) and all the people looking at us says … uh oh! (synchronized!)

Where can we see your portfolio?

How did you found out PinoyCSers?

  • When am browsing CS Forum and saw one link there of Pinoycsers.

Give readers one tip to capture great photos.

  • As what our mentors always says, keep on practicing, keep on shooting and keep on posting. Always think positively in receiving any comments of your work. And ALWAYS Give Glory to HIM who gave us this opportunity to show our passion/ talent and time to capture good images.
